Toby Gorman

Prior to joining A.Smith, Toby served as Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming for Fremantle Media (FMNA) where he was charged with developing and launching the company’s entertainment programming and creating formats that travel globally. During his tenure, Toby sold and launched a slate of alternative primetime programming, including To Tell The Truth, Match Game and Celebrity Family Feud for ABC, which have all returned for multiple seasons. Toby also launched Mat Franco’s Got Magic, which saw the America’s Got Talent season 9-winner return to NBC for a primetime special that followed the magician’s journey as he prepared to headline his own Las Vegas show. Prior to joining FMNA, Toby served as co-executive producer and showrunner on NBC’s Hollywood Game Night and The Winner Is. In addition, he served as executive producer and showrunner on the NBC pilot Surprise Surprise as well as the FOX series Mobbed. Toby’s credits also include executive producer and showrunner for ABC’s dating pilot Take Me Out, executive producer of NBC’s Celebrity Family Feud and as supervising producer for FOX’s American Idol (season 8 and 9), earning two shared Emmy® nominations for Outstanding Reality — Competition Program.

Previously, Gorman was series producer and showrunner for FremantleMedia in his native UK for All Stars Family Fortunes (ITV1) & Grease Is The Word (ITV1). Gorman also served as showrunner for Britain’s Missing Top Model (BBC3) and The Smith’s Hotels for Two (Discovery International), as well as series editor and showrunner for The Race (Sky One) and producer of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here (ITV1) and Hell’s Kitchen (ITV1).
