TV One announced at today's TCA Winter Press Tour that they will be expanding their Unsungfranchise with a new series, Unsung Hollywood, featuring some of the unsung heroes of TV and movies.

Hit Series 'Unsung' to Return with Four New Episodes Featuring Too $hort, The Manhattans, Gil Scott Heron, and Nile Rodgers and Chic, Beginning Wednesday, January 29

SILVER SPRING, MD - January 9, 2013 - TV One is expanding its NAACP Image Award-winning Unsung franchise with new series Unsung Hollywood, premiering Wednesday, February 26 at 10PM/ET. From revealing portraits of beloved stars of film and television, including feminist film icon Pam Grier and politically charged comic Dick Gregory, to in-depth stories behind the making (and breaking) of influential films and TV series such as Cooley High and What's Happening!!, Unsung Hollywood shines a spotlight on subjects and stories that have rarely or never been told. Preceding Unsung Hollywood's debut in February, flagship series Unsung will return with all-new episodes beginning Wednesday, January 29 at 10PM/ET.

Unsung Hollywood will share rare stories from film, television, comedy and sports stars through clips, archival and contemporary performances, and exclusively shot, behind-the-scenes footage. As with Unsung, Unsung Hollywood also features in-depth personal interviews with the talent as well as their family members, friends, industry associates, fellow entertainers and various cultural commentators.
