Little Ninjas rejoice! Co-hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila have confirmed that American Ninja Warrior Junior has been green-lit for a second season on Universal Kids.

As a matter of fact, you can apply RIGHT NOW to get on the show! Casting is already open!

Kids need to be between the ages of 9 and 14 by July 1, 2019 to apply. Parents, you have until May 3, 2019 to get those applications in for your little Ninja!

Season one American Ninja Warrior Junior is currently still airing. After showing 10 episodes in 2018, the show went on hiatus for the holidays. It will return Saturday, February 23 at 7 pm on Universal Kids.

The young athletes have made a resounding debut on the show with nail-biting finishes and unexpected speed. They compete in three different age categories: 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. American Ninja Warrior athletes like Barclay Stockett, Meagan Martin, and Najee Richardson have been on hand to offer tips and cheer them on. Matt Iseman, when discussing the upcoming second season, said, “If we think we had good athletes this year, I think next year we’re going to see the level grow exponentially.”

Matt and Akbar had a little fun with the announcement. They convinced the TODAY show anchors to try the Warped Wall, with varying levels of success.
