Matt Miller has enjoyed a long working relationship with A. Smith & Co. Productions, starting as Coordinating Producer of Celebrity Duets and working in the same capacity on seasons 3, 4 & 5 of Hell’s Kitchen before joining the company as Vice President of Development in late 2008. Since coming on board, Miller has continued in his role as Coordinating Producer of Hell’s Kitchen and become an instrumental part of the development team working on I Married a Stranger, Crash Course, I Survived A Japanese Game Show and Gordon Ramsay Cookalong Live.
Miller attended the University of Iowa, studying writing and fine arts. Upon moving to Los Angeles, he began his career in the entertainment industry at Shapiro/West & Associates, Executive Producers of Seinfeld. Miller went on to work as a writer for several hit television shows including Drew Carey, Home Improvement and Full House. With reality television emerging as a force in the industry, he began producing within a variety of genres working on shows such as Divorce Court, Style Court, The Sharon Osbourne Show, Hole In The Wall, Big Brother and American Idol Extra.
