Christmas always knew she wanted to work in the entertainment industry. As a young girl growing up in Orange County she did everything she could to get her fix. She acted in school plays, sang in the choir, and wrote short stories and poetry. As time moved on she realized that she much preferred to be the one writing and directing the plays as opposed to acting in them. She attended Chapman University and obtained her BFA in Film and Television Production. During her tenure at Chapman she was chosen as
one of the top ten most promising filmmakers. She won a very prestigious script competition where the prize was several thousand dollars to make her movie and a scholarship with Kodak Film. In her final year at Chapman she was also handpicked to work with Arthur Hiller for a mentorship program that provided her immeasurable insight into story telling and directing.

Christmas moved to Los Angeles the day after graduation and got a job working with a producer at Warner Bros. She developed both feature film and television scripted projects and learned invaluable lessons about working in this business. She learned that you can’t get anywhere without hard work and most importantly you must be passionate about what you do. And Christmas has passion in spades…

Several years later Christmas took a job with Endemol, USA working under Tom Forman on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. She played an integral part in the development process of many of Mr. Forman’s shows. After more than three years with Endemol Christmas was offered the opportunity to come work with A. Smith & Company. She respectfully accepted the offerand has been working with this established and respected company for over a year as the Director of Development.
